The Case Manager in the Office of Case Management & Victim Support Services at Tulane University is responsible for providing case management and victim support services to students and families facing challenging situations. This role involves working closely with individuals to navigate their difficulties and includes participation in an on-call rotation for emergency support.

  • Provide case management and victim support services to students and families.
  • Work one-on-one with students experiencing difficult times.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation at least one week each month for 12 months.
  • Master's degree in higher education, counseling, social work, or related field, or a law degree.
  • Two years of experience working with an at-risk population.
  • Competency in conflict resolution, mediation, and/or negotiation.
  • Knowledge of legal issues in higher education and federal legislation impacting it.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working with Title IX, FERPA & Clery Compliance.
  • Prior training in working with victims of crime, particularly around trauma-informed interactions.
  • Previous experience working with individuals with mental health issues.
  • Previous experience responding to crisis situations.
