About The Position

Reporting to the Senior Associate Director for Student Accountability & Conflict Response, the Case Manager assists with case management of alleged student and student organization misconduct, conduct review matters, and adaptable resolutions. The Case Manager will conduct initial assessments of reported concerns to determine possible resolution pathways, meet with involved parties to discuss allegations and the conduct and/or conflict response processes, and manage resolutions. The Case Manager will also assist with post-separation meetings, pre- and re-enrollment conduct reviews, and delivery of educational and reflective outcomes and engagement opportunities. This full-time position is located at the University Park campus. This position offers a flexible work arrangement that combines remote and on-campus work. Requirements

  • Master's Degree
  • 1+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience accepted
  • Experience in investigations, case management, and/or student conduct.
  • Capacity to work cooperatively with various levels of faculty, staff, students, and community partners.
  • Ability to take initiative and have flexibility to adapt to shifting workload demands.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical, judgment, ethical decision-making, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work with a wide variety of cultures and backgrounds.
  • Demonstrated ability to assist people in crisis.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and process reports of concerning student behavior.
  • Perform outreach and provide resources and referrals to involved parties as appropriate.
  • Make follow-up inquiries as needed to obtain a clear understanding of the situation reported and conduct intake interviews.
  • Make determinations regarding potential pathways for resolution.
  • Maintain accurate records of the intake process.
  • Fulfill the role of Case Manager in the formal student conduct process in accordance with policy, procedures, and standard practice, including providing Notice, facilitating informational meetings, and managing pre-Administrative Conference resolutions.
  • Assist with the facilitation of adaptable resolutions and conflict response options, as well as post-suspension meetings for students who have been separated from the university for conduct-related reasons.
  • Develop, sustain, and deliver educational, reflective, and/or restorative outcomes and engagement opportunities.
  • Complete Conduct Reviews by reviewing reports and self-disclosures of past misconduct, conducting background interviews, and making recommendations regarding eligibility for enrollment.
  • Maintain private records and track case progress to ensure timely completion of resolutions and reviews, in alignment with university policies and state and federal law.
