The University of Miami's Department of Psychology has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Case Manager to work in Miami Lakes, FL. The Center for Autism and Related Disabilities (CARD) has an open Case Manager position to work with adolescents and adults with autism and related disabilities. Bilingual (English/Spanish). Bachelor's degree in special education, psychology, behavior analysis, social work or related field and 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience required. Excellent interpersonal communication skills, compassion, time management, organization, and problem-solving skills are a must. Expected to have good public speaking skills, and a dynamic presentation style. This position is based in Miami-Dade County. The Case Manager coordinates the overall interdisciplinary plan of care for patients, from admission to discharge. The incumbent also provides ongoing support and expertise through comprehensive assessment, planning, implementation, and overall evaluation of individual patient’s needs. An employee in this position acts as a liaison between patients, families, and healthcare personnel to ensure necessary care is provided promptly and effectively.
