About The Position

Supervised Release offers an alternative to jail, providing pretrial supervision, case management, and voluntary social services to people charged with misdemeanor and non-violent felony offenses. Program participants are monitored to ensure their appearance at court dates, and they receive referrals to community-based programming. Under the Supervised Release program (SRP), the Case Manager (CM) will be responsible for, conducting intake and assessments for SRP clients and developing individualized service plans to provide case management services; providing counseling, appointment reminders, and referrals (including setting up appointments for voluntary services and following up on service uptake); ensuring individuals return to court; and, entering real time data on all client activities. The CM needs to match the mission of Fortune, including, meeting a client there they are at; engaging participants with a non-judgmental, inclusive attitude; holding space for trauma associated with criminal justice involvement and incarceration; and helping them to believe in their power to change. The CM must be able to communicate effectively, with internal and external program staff, and participants.
