About The Position

The purpose of this position is to regularly communicate with mentors and mentees to maintain healthy and effective relationships and recommend action/provide assistance where necessary; monitor mentor/mentee match to ensure that both are fulfilling program obligations; ensure that mentors are submitting assessments monthly by the due date; obtain school/employer verification of graduates quarterly; monitor graduates’ progress and adherence to post residential action plans and report problems to TCA. This position will deliver/manage/support evidence-based practices programming. It will provide oversight to jobs, programming, activities and services as needed to aid in the rehabilitative process. This position is to involve cadets in programs and activities which will reduce idleness, improve self-esteem, encourage teamwork and add to the overall treatment. This employee keeps all files updated, i.e., monthly mentor assessments, community service, monthly stipends records, etc. The Administrative Specialist I work includes the use of office automation equipment and related technology. This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) with State Benefits, including paid vacation, paid sick leave, paid holidays, retirement, and health insurance. Requirements

  • High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and four years of related administrative experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
  • Experience maintaining a filing system
  • Experience working with Youth ages 16-18 years old
