About The Position

The Case Manager at Upbring plays a crucial role in providing quality social services to unaccompanied children and their families, ensuring their safety and stability while working towards family reunification. This position requires a compassionate and dedicated individual who embodies the values of Upbring, focusing on breaking the cycle of child abuse and empowering others through effective case management and support services.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Social Services, or a closely related field.
• 1 year of previous case management experience or 1 year of child welfare experience if a current Upbring employee.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Strong working knowledge of motivational interviewing.
• Ability to establish rapport and trust with children and families.
• Excellent writing and communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Nice To Haves

• Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Social Services, or a closely related field.
• Experience working with child welfare or disadvantaged populations.
• LMSW, LPC, LCSW, or LMFT licensure.

Responsibilities

• Review complete family reunification packets for accuracy.
• Participate in planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating designated social service programs.
• Participate in workshops, seminars, and education programs for professional growth.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Complete necessary documentation and submit to ORR along with family reunification packets.
• Maintain accurate records and case files in accordance with agency policies and licensing requirements.
• Work closely with the Program Director and other service providers to ensure quality care for unaccompanied children.
• Assist in the safe evacuation of unaccompanied children during emergencies.
• Maintain contact with sponsors and families regarding the progress of unaccompanied children.
