About The Position

The Case Manager position at GEO Reentry Services LLC involves providing support and structure to residents in developing program plans by managing a caseload of client cases. The role requires administering the policies and procedures of the program as directed by the contracting agency and the Facility Director. The Case Manager will learn, use, and model the principles of the 'What Works' system through evidence-based practices in all interactions with clients and other staff members. Additionally, the Case Manager will train and assist less experienced case managers.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Human Services discipline preferred.
  • Substance abuse or domestic violence certification or the ability to become certified preferred.
  • One year experience as a Monitor or two years of work experience in a related field.
  • Familiarity with community corrections systems and current community corrections practices.
  • Familiarity with community workforce needs, public and private agencies, and employment services.
  • Ability to write clear concise reports in English using correct grammar.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • Ability to react quickly and appropriately in emergency situations.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred but not mandatory.
  • Ability to work with computers and necessary software.

Responsibilities

  • Perform duties of a Monitor including resident intakes, check-ins, breath analysis, and drug screens.
  • Prepare written personalized programs for each resident to establish measurable criteria of expected behavior and accomplishments.
  • Assist residents in establishing personal budgets, locating suitable housing, enrolling in educational and vocational programs, and participating in family and community activities.
  • Monitor facility sanitation and safety, assigning daily housekeeping chores to residents.
  • Orient residents upon arrival at the facility to provide smooth assimilation into the program.
  • Make entries into confidential resident files for case analysis and program planning.
  • Assist Job Developers in verifying residents' jobs and provide guidance to unemployed residents.
  • Verify residents' pass plans through pass sponsorship.
  • Prepare terminal reports upon resident release to summarize program performance.
  • Participate in staff meetings to share observations and recommendations.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding employees, vendors, residents, and outside agencies.
  • Monitor client compliance with alcohol and drug counseling.
  • Report all program violations to the appropriate agency or official.
  • Conduct orientation meetings with new clients to explain program rules and regulations.
  • Set client schedules and specify all approved activities based on sentencing information.
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of staff.
  • Comply with work rules and policies as explained in the company Employee Handbook.
  • Adhere to attendance policy and work overtime as required.
  • Comply with safety rules and take corrective action to ensure safety.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
