About The Position

Columba Services Inc. is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping individuals who have struggled with homelessness. Many of our residents have experienced significant trauma in their lives and are struggling with mental illness and/or substance abuse. We provide a safe and stable environment for all the individuals we serve while treating them with Respect and Dignity. A Harm Reduction approach is used at Columba Services.

Requirements

  • Outstanding leadership and communication skills.
  • Experience working with the homeless population.
  • Experience with people who are struggling with severe mental illness and substance abuse.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct services to a small caseload.
  • Provide appropriate supervision to staff.
  • Develop and implement service plans.
  • Identify and implement program improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure that contractual obligations are being met and/or exceeded.
  • Facilitate weekly program meetings.
  • Collaborate with other providers and initiate conferences when deemed necessary.
  • Assist with the client referral/interview/move-in process.
  • Build a team environment with staff.
  • Create community with clients.
  • Assist the Director of Residential Services in preparing for audits.
  • Provide data for monthly reports.
