Founded in 1980, Urban Resource Institute (URI) is the nation’s largest provider of domestic violence shelter and support services and a leading provider of housing and services for families experiencing homelessness. POSITION OVERVIEW The Senior Case Manager is responsible for direct service provision to residents and supervision of the Recreational Specialist or Residential Specialist according to the sites staffing pattern. Direct services include counseling, group counseling, advocacy services, referrals and follow-up, home management and budget counseling. Individual must demonstrate sensitivity to issues related to homelessness. In addition, the Senior Case Manager will make all necessary linkages to community agencies to provide proper placement of residents in areas of permanent housing, referral to engage in aftercare services prior to leaving the agency, vocational and educational services, and to assist families in securing public assistance, Medicaid or other entitlements.
