About The Position

Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Newark is one of New Jersey's largest non-profit social service agencies with programs and facilities serving Bergen, Essex, Hudson, and Union counties. We are currently seeking a Full Time Case Worker for our Supportive Assistance for Individuals and Families (SAIF) program located in Newark, New Jersey. The SAIF program's aim is to reduce dependency on welfare by promoting self-sufficiency for individuals who have received welfare benefits for more than 48 months.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree (preferably in Social Work, Sociology, or Psychology)
• 1 to 2 years experience in social services field
• Valid driver's license

Responsibilities

• Monitors caseload
• Completes monthly state reports
• Completes monthly caseload lists
• Maintains case records
• Completes assessments to identify barriers and provide career counseling
• Completes intakes on a weekly basis
• Builds networks with employers for jobs and workshops for clients
