The Competency Restoration Case Manager plays a critical role in supporting adults and juveniles involved in the criminal or juvenile justice systems who have been deemed incompetent to proceed by a court, in accordance with Colorado Revised Statutes. Grounded in a mission to empower individuals toward stability and self-sufficiency, the Case Manager delivers and coordinates competency restoration education services using evidence-based curriculum tailored to the unique needs of each client. Through a continuum of high- to low-intensity case management services, the Case Manager addresses comprehensive health and behavioral needs, including mental health and substance use challenges. This includes assessment, individualized planning, advocacy, education, and facilitation of internal and community-based resources. By collaborating closely with psychiatrists, peers, and external service providers, the Case Manager ensures that each treatment plan is responsive, coordinated, and actionable. A cornerstone of the role is client advocacy and empowerment. Case Managers represent and support clients in navigating federal, state, and local systems, while providing education and skill-building opportunities that foster independence, resilience, and long-term recovery. Through these efforts, the program seeks to restore competency, strengthen community connections, and advance justice-informed, compassionate care for all participants. This position includes eligibility for a monthly performance bonus.
