Requirements
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Minimum of 1-3 years of clinical experience in pediatric or school nursing, with a preference for experience working with children with developmental disabilities.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and techniques is desirable.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills, with a demonstrated ability to thrive within an interdisciplinary team.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, committed to evidence-based practice and continuous quality improvement.
- Flexibility to adapt to the unique needs of each client and their family, exhibiting empathy, patience, and cultural sensitivity.
- Upholds confidentiality and professionalism while fostering a supportive and empowering environment for clients and colleagues alike
Responsibilities
- Join forces with our dynamic team of Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), educators, and other healthcare heroes to craft personalized treatment plans for our incredible kiddos with brain injuries and neurobehavioral disorders.
- Embark on thrilling assessment journeys, delving deep into clients' medical histories and developmental needs to guide our path towards superhero-level treatment planning.
- Channel your inner medicine maestro as you skillfully administer medications, treatments, and interventions with precision and care, ensuring the safety and well-being of our little superheroes.
- Keep a watchful eye on our superheroes' health and behavior during the school day, swooping in to save the day at the first sign of trouble.
- Equip our superheroes' families with the knowledge and skills they need to become champions of care, empowering them to support their child's journey beyond the classroom.
- Forge powerful alliances with external healthcare providers, uniting with pediatricians, psychologists, and specialists to ensure our superheroes receive the seamless, integrated care they deserve.
- Harness your super-organizational skills to maintain meticulous records of our superheroes' progress and treatment interventions, ensuring we stay on track towards victory.
- Sharpen your skills and share your expertise in team meetings, case conferences, and professional development activities, contributing to the ongoing evolution of best practices in ABA therapy and school nursing.
