About The Position

The Case Manager for Immigration Bilingual Spanish at BI Incorporated is responsible for providing case management of Intensive Supervision Appearance Program (ISAP) participants from entry to release by administering the program's policies and procedures as defined by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) contract. This role involves developing, implementing, coordinating, reviewing, and updating case management and individual service plans for ISAP participants in conformance with state and federal regulations and program requirements. The position requires regular face-to-face meetings with participants, conducting intake interviews, and ensuring compliance with electronic monitoring programs. Additionally, the Case Manager connects participants with community resources and provides emergency counseling as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required; degree in Sociology, Psychology, Social Work, Criminal Justice or related field preferred.
  • At least two (2) years of customer service or case management experience required.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish required.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Ability to pass a federal background check and obtain a suitability determination.
  • United States citizenship required.
  • Must live in the US 3 of the last 5 years.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated sound judgment and even temperament.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
  • Basic knowledge of immigration laws, regulations and procedures.
  • Basic computer skills and good typing skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in fields related to law, social work, detention, corrections or working with multi-cultural clients preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develops, implements, coordinates, reviews and updates case management and individual service plans for ISAP participants.
  • Meets with participants face-to-face regularly as required by contractual obligations.
  • Maintains accurate and complete case records for all ISAP participants.
  • Conducts intake interview and orientation session with each ISAP participant.
  • Installs electronic monitoring equipment on ISAP participants as necessary.
  • Assists ISAP participants with acquiring travel documents.
  • Evaluates English proficiency of ISAP participants.
  • Coordinates and facilitates translation services for ISAP participants.
  • Connects participants with community resources including transportation, medical, food, shelter, clothing, educational, financial, legal, and other social adjustment resources.
  • Supervises ISAP participants while in Company offices.
  • Establishes schedules for ISAP participants for counseling sessions and immigration Court appearances.
  • Reviews individual service plans, conducts risk/needs assessments and writes progress reports.
  • Reports on program violations in a timely manner.
  • Conducts home visits to verify participants' places of residence.
  • Performs emergency counseling for ISAP participants as needed.
  • Identifies and maintains relationships with translation resources in the community.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
