About The Position

Ensures compliance with standards in evaluation, assessment, treatment, and service delivery to consumers. This position provides case management services for consumers and collaborates with management to ensure the delivery of quality services.

Requirements

  • Familiarity with human resources policies and procedures.
  • Ability to report to work on time.
  • Knowledge of customer service concepts and practices.
  • Understanding and sensitivity to diverse cultures and lifestyles, as well as cross-cultural communication styles.
  • Skill in operating a personal computer utilizing a variety of computer software.
  • Skill in managing multiple priorities and tasks concurrently to meet deadlines.
  • Skill in oral and written communication.
  • Skill in establishing and maintaining a cooperative working relationship with colleagues, supervisors, and consumers.
  • Ability to work independently as well as with teams.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Two (2) years of work experience in the social service field.
  • Strong understanding and sensitivity to diverse cultures and lifestyles, with demonstrated experience working effectively with the Alaska Native population.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s degree in behavioral health, human or social services, counseling, or a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Provides advocacy and referral services and serves as a liaison with community agencies.
  • Interviews and screens consumers for services.
  • Creates and maintains consumer files according to established policies and procedures.
  • Provides information to the public regarding the program.
  • Compiles and submits monthly, quarterly, and annual reports as required.
  • Attends training and specialty training as it applies to this position.
  • Works as part of a team providing quality care while following departmental policies and procedures.
  • The incumbent of this position must work well under pressure, meeting multiple and conflicting deadlines. The incumbent shall, at all times, demonstrate cooperative behavior with colleagues, supervisors, and consumers.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
