Case Manager As a Case Manager you must be highly organized and able to work on a varied caseload. The Case Manager will assist the attorney in developing settlements, preparing documents and correspondence as needed. The ideal candidate is customer focused and empathetic. Case Manager in Training This role will work as a floater in our office, training and supporting several attorneys and case staff on rotation. This position trains for an eventual move to a highly sought Case Manager position. Case Manager Lead Position Overview: The Case Manager Lead plays a pivotal role in overseeing and managing a team of 5 case managers while effectively handling an inventory of approximately 50 HV cases. Reporting directly to the Pre-Suit Attorney, the Case Manager Lead serves as a strategic partner to Trial Attorneys, ensuring seamless coordination and optimal case management throughout the litigation process.

Responsibilities

  • Daily interaction with existing and potential clients, via telephone and in person.
  • Order medical records from providers and communicate with clients and providers during the course of treatment.
  • Obtain documents necessary to support injury and/or liability positions
  • Interact with insurance carriers and healthcare providers to secure records and account balances
  • Work directly with multiple coworkers involved in the management and support of case files
  • Maintain organized case files.
  • Prepare comprehensive demands and assemble support for submission to carriers
  • Interact with attorneys and present case synopsis when required
  • Manage case files from intake to closing under the direction of an attorney
  • Performs other related duties as assigned to meet the needs of the business

  • Prepare comprehensive demands and assemble support for submission to carriers under the direct supervision of an attorney
  • Investigate the nature and facts of cases
  • Learn to negotiate deductions of outstanding medical balances with providers
  • Prepare documents and correspondence necessary to reach a settlement in each case
  • Supervise and mentor a team of 5 case managers, providing guidance and support to ensure optimal performance.
  • Conduct regular team meetings, performance evaluations, and training sessions to foster professional growth and development.
  • Proactively and routinely manage and oversee key dashboards to ensure cases are moving forward and are handled appropriately.
  • Oversee a high value inventory of approximately 50 cases, ensuring timely and accurate handling of each case from inception to litigation.
  • Implement efficient case management strategies to streamline processes and maximize productivity.
  • Monitor case timelines, deadlines, and milestones, taking proactive measures to address any potential issues or delays.
  • Serve as a liaison between the Case Management team and the Pre-Suit Attorney, providing regular updates on case statuses, developments, and challenges.
  • Collaborate closely with a Trial Attorney to develop and execute effective case strategies before moving cases to a litigation team.
  • Maintain high standards of quality and compliance across all aspects of case management, ensuring adherence to relevant legal regulations and organizational policies.
  • Conduct periodic audits and reviews of case files to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Work closely with the Pre-Suit Attorney and other stakeholders to develop long-term strategic initiatives and goals for the Case Management team.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization, technology integration, and workflow enhancement to drive operational efficiency and effectiveness.
