The Associate Benefits Opportunity Specialist I (ABOS I) is responsible for supervising a team of Benefits Opportunity Specialist (BOS) staff, who provide various functions of eligibility determination, financial planning, and employment planning and monitoring to assist individuals and families in need. This position is under the direction of the Associate Benefits Opportunity Specialist II and involves using supervisory, program development, quantitative analysis, and research skills to achieve the goals of the Family Independence Administration (FIA) Benefits Access Centers. The ABOS I will oversee the application process for new applicants, manage case entries, and ensure comprehensive service delivery to participants. The role also includes preparing statistical reports, conducting case consultations, and supervising staff who assist clients with housing needs and employment barriers.
