About The Position

The Case Management Extender is responsible for providing administrative and clerical support to the Case Management Director and Case Management Team including assisting with audits, reports, and data collection. Assists in the coordination of daily activities and projects. Participates in data collection projects and compiles data for presentation to Director, Executives and Physicians’ Committees. Demonstrates a working understanding of federal and state regulations and departmental policies, particularly those related to discharge planning and utilization review.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)- American Red Cross or American Heart Association
  • Two (2) years’ experience in administrative, hospital case management, social service and/or managed care performing discharge planning, interfacing with insurance companies and/or utilization review
