EAC Network, a leading not-for-profit social service agency dedicated to helping over 80,000 people through 100 impactful programs across Long Island and NYC, is looking for a dedicated part time Case Coordinator to join our Long Island Court Appointed Specialist Advocate (CASA). Wage: $22 per hour Schedule: 19 Hours - Flexible Location: Hybrid - 400 Carleton Ave in Central Islip NY Primary Purpose of Job: The Case Coordinator is responsible for case management of children in the child welfare system, based on the judicial assignment of cases. The Case Coordinator also assists the Division Director and Supervisor of the Long Island CASA programs in coordinating and monitoring all aspects of the program's activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Child Welfare, Education, or other relevant field
  • Minimum of two years of relevant work experience.
  • Knowledge of administrative procedures required.
  • Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills required.
  • Must be proficient in computer applications or other automated systems such as spreadsheets, Microsoft Office applications, calendar, and email and/or database software necessary to perform work assignments.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with judges, attorneys, law guardians, and other interested parties on behalf of children in the child welfare system.
  • Collect and evaluate data on assigned cases for the court.
  • Accept cases as assigned through Court and conduct necessary interviews for case completion.
  • Assign cases to volunteer advocates, support volunteers where needed, attend all court hearings for cases assigned, assist with court report writing and submission of reports in a timely manner to the Court and to all parties.
  • Maintain case files.
  • Prepare and submit statistical reports for EAC NETWORK Administration and funding sources.
  • Assist Division Director and Supervisor with cases assigned to volunteers.
  • Conduct home visits and assess and monitor the home environment of children.
  • Work with caseworkers and agencies to achieve permanency for children.
  • Perform required administrative work.
