About The Position

CASA Care Coordinator General Description: The role of the CASA Care Coordinator is to maintain a minimum of 15 cases, supervise volunteers in their work as advocates and assist in outreach, community education and fundraising efforts. This is a full-time (35 hours/week) position. Salary is $48,880 plus benefits. Dress code is business/professional. Qualifications: The CASA Care Coordinator is also a sworn CASA Staff Advocate which allows the position to be assigned cases and advocate for children as a CASA. The position is preferred to have the following education, skills and experience: Bachelor's degree in social services or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience; Must be at least 21 years of age. Ability to communicate and work with children and their families, DCS staff, school personnel and service providers. Knowledge and understanding of issues and dynamics within families in crisis. Strong written and verbal communication skills Professional appearance Commitment to CASA-The Voice of Clark County's mission and goals Accountability: The CASA Care Coordinator is hired by the Program Director with the approval of the Family Court Judge. The CASA Care Coordinator reports directly to the Program Director who is responsible for their ongoing supervision and regular performance evaluation. Responsibilities: Complete program's initial training of 30 hours for volunteer advocates. Update case information in the case management system and staff cases with volunteer advocates monthly or more frequently as needed. Attend monthly child protection team meeting at the Department of Child Services. Visit each child assigned in placement setting monthly. Review all records relevant to the case. Participate in the development of initial case plans when possible. Monitor implementation of and progress with court-ordered services. Participate in regular case staffing with Program Director. Write and submit court reports to Program Director for editing prior to hearings. Attend all court hearings on each case. Aid in the development and implementation of outreach efforts including attending community events and participating in community education. Other duties as may be assigned by Program Director.
