About The Position

At Ventana Canyon, nestled in Tucson Santa Catalina foothills, the sun rises across our pristine 600-acre desert preserve with its flowering landscape, rolling hills, winding riverbeds, craggy canyons, and pine-topped peaks. The Ventana Canyon Golf & Racquet Club is a beautiful and secluded member-owned country club with 36 holes of championship golf and 50 guest suites, rated as one of America's top golf resorts RESPONSIBILITIES: Prepares golf carts for play following the standards of The Lodge at Ventana Canyon. Orders parts and supplies as necessary and maintains and repairs all golf operation vehicles such as club carts, member private carts and Player Assistant carts. Ensures that all golf carts are kept in top working order by providing timely service and establishing a sound preventative maintenance program. Trains golf staff associates in the proper care, maintenance and charging of carts. Establishes and follows a sound preventative maintenance program to ensure long battery and cart life. Assists guests with questions and general facility information. Incorporates safe work practices in job performance. Maintains flexibility to take on new and different tasks as directed by the Department Manager. Attends staff meetings. All other duties as assigned. QualificationsSKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS: Able to apply basic math skills. Required to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; to write routine reports and correspondence; to speak effectively before groups of customers or associates of the organization. Able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists; to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. REQUIREMENTS: Certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination and experience. Meet the physical demands of the position: Frequently stands and walks; uses hands to finger, feel or handle; reaches with hands and arms; stoops, kneels, crouches or crawls. Occasionally sits, climbs or balances. Regularly talks or hears. Regularly lifts up to 10 pounds and occasionally may lift up to 100 pounds. Regularly uses close, distance, color, and peripheral vision as well as depth perception. Ability to adjust focus. Valid Arizona Drivers License. Set Schedule: Sunday - Thursday 5:30 am to 2:00 pm
