About The Position

Keller Freight Solutions is looking for a Carrier Procurement Associate to join our team! Located at 1250 Geneva Blvd., Defiance, OH 43512. Job Overview: This person will find external carrier and build and maintain those relationships, so we have a pool of carriers to choose from to cover freight for our clients. Requirements

Excellent organization and planning skills
HS diploma, College degree preferred
Strong motivation for achieving sales goals and initiatives
Proven results in building relationships with clients
Ability to follow established processes
Market knowledge of the industry
Effective communicator, with strong oral and written skills
Team player that thrives in fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

Cover all assigned freight following carrier vetting and tracking requirements
Complete outbound calls on assigned freight to cover for the day
Perform check calls to ensure timely pickups and deliveries and communicate issues to the Account Management team
Proactively work ahead to network viable and core carriers to book their trucks
Work with carriers to maximize use of load tracking system for maximum freight visibility
Understand carrier needs and lanes and communicate to Account Management to leverage potential opportunities
Communicate capacity and market fluctuations to Broker and Account Management teams
Call on established carriers at least one time per week to maximize freight opportunities
Follow all required SOPs, responsiveness standards, and training assignments
Complete assigned recruiting assignments for new business opportunities
Proactively identify CI opportunities to gain efficiencies in day-to-day operations
Additional duties as assigned by management to support the efficient operation and success of the team
