About The Position

As a Carrier Placement Specialist you will play a critical role in ensuring the market success of carriers. You will be responsible for understanding the needs of clients and setting both macro and micro priorities for a carrier. Your expertise in synthesizing feedback from various sources will allow you to prioritize features and build alignment among teams. Your strong communication and negotiation skills will be essential in fostering partnerships with carriers and ensuring successful placements. Requirements

  • Must have a current Property & Casualty Insurance License
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Candidates should be comfortable with an on-site presence to support collaboration, team leadership, and cross-functional partnership.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for maintaining timeline and process during the new business process and remarketing renewal process, inclusive of exposure analysis, quote specifications, analysis and negotiation of coverage offers, and preparation and presentation of coverage proposals.
  • Communicate effectively within the team environment, inclusive of the producer and Segment Leader.
  • Review insurance policies and contracts and make recommendations for improvement
  • Work with others to prepare property and casualty insurance submissions including, but not limited to: Insurance specifications for each line of coverage, Acord applications using firm's agency management system, loss summaries, prospect profile, exposure schedules, etc.
  • Analyze excel spreadsheets of prospect client exposure and/or loss data, as well as develop financial models of loss sensitive programs, when necessary
  • Answer prospect and carrier phone calls
  • Training and growth of team members
  • Attend prospects meetings with producer, as needed
  • Responsible for updating pipeline report for prospective accounts being marketed
  • Maintain familiarity and working relationship with various insurance companies and wholesalers
  • Facilitate the placement of accounts with Strategic Carrier Partners
  • Attend seminars, company meetings, carrier events and educational activities needed to improve overall job expertise and product knowledge
  • Handle confidential and non-routine information
  • Abide by and maintain all licensing requirement, including continuing education
  • Work independently and within a team on special and nonrecurring and ongoing projects
