About The Position

The Carrier Manager (Lead Logistics Analyst), is responsible for leading the strategy, performance, and continuous improvement of Domino’s inbound transportation carrier network. This role oversees the carrier management program, ensuring operational excellence, cost optimization, and high service levels across 3rd‑party common carriers. The Carrier Manager owns strategic relationships with carrier partners, and serves as a key connector with cross‑functional stakeholders including Operations, Procurement, Inventory Replenishment, COEs, and IT. The Carrier Manager (Lead Logistics Analyst) is responsible for driving KPI development, data analysis, performance reporting, root‑cause analysis, and implementation of corrective action plans to ensure seamless transportation execution across our network.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply chain, Logistics, Business, or related field preferred.
  • 4–7+ years of experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain operations; Exposure to leadership or supervisory responsibilities (2–4 years) is a plus..
  • Strong understanding of transportation modes, carrier networks, freight rates, and transportation regulations and best practices.
  • Flexibility to think strategically and perform tactically.
  • Strong analytical background with ability to develop and interpret complex data to drive execution and decision-making.
  • Proficiency with data transformation and visualization tools preferred (Tableau, PowerBI, Microsoft suite of programs).
  • Hands-on experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and Real-Time Transportation Visibility Platforms (RTTVP) such as e2Open, OTM, BlueYonder, Manhattan, FourKites, or Project44.
  • In-depth understanding of logistics’ relationships with other parts of the supply chain ecosystem.
  • In-depth knowledge of key supply chain/logistics processes and current best practices.
  • Understanding of API Connectivity & EDI Messaging.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, coaching, and stakeholder‑management skills.
  • Strong sense of urgency with a bias towards action.
  • Ability to look at situations from several points of view.
  • Proven ability to achieve targeted results and operational goals.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence cross‑functional teams and external partners.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute long‑term carrier strategy to support network scalability, cost efficiency, service quality, and reliability, leveraging industry benchmarking data to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Partner with Optimization and Procurement teams on carrier negotiations, QBR planning, and long‑term transportation strategy.
  • Serve as the primary point of escalation for carrier service issues and ensure timely resolution through structured root‑cause analysis and corrective action plans.
  • Provide functional leadership and subject‑matter expertise for carrier management processes, performance oversight, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Oversee the enterprise carrier management program, including performance reviews, scorecards, and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Define, develop, and maintain KPIs to measure 3rd party carrier performance across the inbound transportation network. Including, but not limited to, on-time pickup and delivery, prime tender acceptance, and TMS and Transportation Visibility Platform update compliance.
  • Own carrier relationship governance, ensuring consistent communication, alignment to expectations, and accountability to performance metrics.
  • Oversee TMS and RTTVP configuration standards, integrations, and master data accuracy, including rates, route guides, carrier setup, and update compliance.
  • Ensure proper onboarding of carriers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders onto TMS and visibility tools.
  • Partner with IT on transportation systems enhancements, troubleshooting, and major transformation initiatives.
  • Serve as the Transportation SME for internal digital and systems transformation projects.
  • Provide guidance to internal partners on transportation-related issues, including exceptions, escalations, and cross‑center movements.
  • Oversee the freight claims process, ensuring timely submission, recovery performance, and adherence to claims SOPs.
  • Ensure that root‑cause analyses and corrective action plans are developed and implemented to prevent recurrence of issues.
  • Ensure timely review and reconciliation of aging carrier reports and other 3PL‑submitted documentation.
  • Communicate carrier performance and insights to Operations, Inventory Management, Procurement, and network leadership.
  • Ensure alignment across functions on transportation strategy, risk mitigation, and operational performance.
  • Represent the transportation function in cross‑functional meetings, network reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
