About The Position
GENERAL OVERVIEW: Performs a wide variety of journeyman level operations which include construction, alterations and finishes.
Requirements
- Minimum Trade School Diploma in building trades/carpentry or equivalent experience
- 3 years of hospital experience or 6 years of related experience; ability to read architectural drawings and detailed carpentry drawings
Responsibilities
- Performs new construction, additions, renovations and structural repairs according to Federal, State and Local Government Codes.
- Repairs, replaces, installs and builds hospital areas and casework including finishes. Performs preventive maintenance and inspections.
- Installs doors, frames, window units, access panels; replaces plastic laminates.
