About The Position

Rust is seeking a highly talented Carpenter Journeyman I based out of Lewisville, TX. This challenging position will provide an excellent growth opportunity while improving the infrastructure of the city. Rust Constructors Inc. is a full-service, merit-shop construction and maintenance company providing life-cycle services for the mining, power, industrial, infrastructure, and government markets. Our services include construction, construction management, construction consulting; testing, checkout, start-up; and plant services including total plant maintenance, shutdowns, turnarounds, production support and technical support. The Carpenter is responsible for a full range of rough and finish skilled carpentry work. They work from blueprints, specifications, drawing and/or instructions to design, build, remodel, retrofit, maintain and repair various types of facilities and structures. Level Specific responsibilities: Under direct supervision, performs routine duties. Displays knowledge and abilities to evaluate, select and apply standard construction techniques, procedures and criteria to meet basic construction specifications. Displays applications of sound professional judgment on details of work. Independently performs walk-downs and inspections of installed commodities to assure conformance with specifications and design. May provide technical direction to laborers or discipline helpers.

Requirements

  • Three years or more of related experience

Responsibilities

  • Prepares layout, using rule, framing square, and clippers
  • Designs and constructs concrete forms
  • Pour and finish concrete and tie rebar
  • Loads, transports, and unloads materials, tools equipment and supplies as needed
  • Cleans, maintains, adjusts, calibrates and services equipment used in the performance of duties
