Taylored Restoration Services, a Construction/Restoration company with over 50 years of dedicated service, is seeking dynamic individuals to join their team as Carpenters and Lead Carpenters in the Anchorage area. The company specializes in restoring homes and commercial properties after disasters such as fire, wind, earthquake, and water/mold damage. Their portfolio also includes home improvement, residential and commercial remodels, additions, and various services. They provide emergency services 24/7, requiring a rotational schedule for after-hours availability. Requirements

  • For Carpenter position – you must have minimum 3 years of hands-on residential construction experience in multiple phases and the tools to perform those phases.
  • For Lead Carpenter position: Must have minimum 5+ years’ experience in most phases of residential construction.
  • For Lead Carpenter position: Must be willing to provide leadership and mentoring to lower-level carpenters and laborers.
  • For Lead Carpenter position: Must have all the tools needed to perform your job.
  • Reliability and punctuality is extremely important to all positions.
  • Can follow instructions from Project and Production Managers, and other high-level managers.
  • Independent work capability and strong teamwork skills.
  • Be committed to safety. We provide all safety equipment, and all employees are required to use it.
  • Higher level carpenters must ensure that others are following all safety rules and regulations.
  • Move 75+ pounds often by lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or otherwise repositioning objects.
  • Stand/walk for extended periods of time. Lifting, squatting, climbing, crawling and crouching required.
  • For safety reasons, respirators, which are used in certain situations, must be able to seal to your face.
  • Use visual acuity to perform detail-oriented activities.
  • Be exposed to various inside and outside working conditions. The change of environment such as with or without air conditioning and heating.
  • Have a valid driver’s license with no more than 3 driving infractions in the last 3 years.
  • Must pass post-offer drug screening (heroin, amphetamines, cocaine, opiates, phencyclidine).
  • Must pass post-offer background screening. Any convictions will need to be discussed with the Human Resource Director.
  • Currently reside within or have the ability to self-relocate within the Anchorage area within a few weeks.

Responsibilities

  • Perform disaster restoration on residential and commercial buildings. Multiple phases of construction include demolition, framing, finish work, window and door installation, flooring, drywall and paint.
  • Procurement of construction materials needed for the job when the expeditor is unavailable.
  • Maintain a clean job site to ensure the safety of employees and clients.
  • Participate in our 24-hour on call rotation. Respond to emergency losses after hours and on weekends as dictated by the on-call schedule. Overtime for this position is required but is not guaranteed.
