About The Position

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled caregiver for a 3-year-old female patient requiring G-tube Chicago, IL 60608. RN up to $43/LPN up to $33 Priority Shifts is Sunday and Monday, 8am-6pm. - very easy case and great family! Requirements

• Prior experience in pediatric nursing or caregiving is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of G-tube and tracheostomy care is highly desirable.
• Compassionate attitude towards patients with medical complexities.
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Ability to work independently while following established care plans.
• Willingness to undergo training as necessary to meet specific patient needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive and compassionate personal care to the patient, including assistance with daily living activities.
• Administer medications and manage G-tube feeding as per the physician's plan of care.
• Monitor the patient’s vital signs and overall health status, reporting any changes to the supervising nurse.
• Ensure proper maintenance of tracheostomy care, including suctioning as needed.
• Assist with mobility and physical therapy exercises as directed by healthcare professionals.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for the patient, adhering to infection control protocols.
• Document all care provided accurately in accordance with agency policies and procedures.
• Communicate effectively with family members regarding the patient's needs and progress.
