About The Position

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to provide 1:1 care for a student with complex medical needs in Saint Paul Public Schools (SPPS). This full-time assignment runs through the entire 2025–2026 academic year and follows the district’s school calendar. The RN will work Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, accompanying the student on the bus to and from school and delivering continuous care throughout the school day. The student requires skilled nursing support for a tracheostomy and g-tube, and the RN will be responsible for developing and implementing a personalized plan of care. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a student’s daily life while working in a structured, supportive educational environment. The position offers a competitive pay rate of $50 per hour and is ideal for an RN with pediatric experience and a passion for one-on-one care. Why BrightStar Care? Requirements

  • Active RN license in the state of Minnesota.
  • Previous experience in a home health or acute care setting is advantageous.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients in accordance with professional standards.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to optimize patient care and outcomes.
  • Educate patients and their families on health maintenance and disease prevention.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with all regulatory guidelines.
