Caregiver (Resident Care Associate) – Assisted Living / Memory Care The Variel at Woodland Hills | Woodland Hills, CA Full-Time & Part-Time | All Shifts Available (Including NOC & Weekends) Work in a Luxury Senior Living Community Where You’re Valued The Variel at Woodland Hills is a premier, hospitality-driven assisted living and memory care community dedicated to providing exceptional care, comfort, and service to our residents. We are looking for compassionate, dependable Caregivers (Resident Care Associates) who take pride in making a meaningful difference every day. What You’ll Do As a Caregiver, you will provide hands-on support while helping residents maintain dignity, independence, and quality of life.

Requirements

  • Previous caregiving experience in assisted living, memory care, or senior living preferred
  • Compassionate, patient, and service-oriented mindset
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work independently and stay organized
  • Dependable attendance and professionalism
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience working with the elderly in a residential or long-term care setting also preferred.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English to communicate effectively with residents, families, visitors, and other staff members.
  • Must be able to perform job duties and responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Able to pass the necessary tests (i.e., CPR, First Aid, Food Handlers, etc.) if required by state regulations.
  • Must be able to work full-time or part-time as agreed upon, on assigned shift, including weekend and holiday rotations
  • Ability to lift, move, and assist residents (up to 50–80 lbs as needed)
  • Ability to remain active throughout the shift
  • Ability to communicate clearly with residents and team members

Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility
  • Provide care with a strong focus on dignity, respect, and individuality
  • Observe and report changes in resident condition to leadership
  • Support medication assistance (as trained and permitted)
  • Assist with meals, housekeeping, and laundry
  • Follow care plans and support resident activities and engagement
  • Respond appropriately to emergencies and safety needs
  • Maintain accurate documentation and communication
  • Create a positive, welcoming environment for residents, families, and guests
