Part-time Caregiver needed - Estero
About The Position
Community Resource Network of Florida is looking for a caregiver who is fun, compassionate, dependable and is committed to helping individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) achieve their highest level of independence and live their best life. We’re seeking a caring, reliable, and energetic caregiver to provide support to an 18-year-old young man. He requires assistance with his day-to-day routine and planning, and on occasional outings within the community. Engage with him in fun activities like music and gaming, creating a positive and enjoyable environment. This is an independent contract position and pays $15.00 per hour Schedule: Mon, Wed and Fri from 3pm- 7pm and Tues and Thurs from 3pm - 9pm. Occasional Sat or Sun as needed. You will be a good fit for this position if you: Have a positive outlook and contagious energy Demonstrate patience and compassion
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license
- Must be able to pass Local and Level 2 Background Screening
- Provide proven 1 year of caregiving experience or technical training.
- Have a High School diploma or equivalent
- Are 18 years of age or older
Responsibilities
- Encouraging and supporting the individual during home activities
- Supporting with personal hygiene
- Meal/snack preparation and feeding assistance
- Ensuring individual's safety and maintaining a safe living environment
- Performing light housekeeping tasks
- Facilitate community involvement by accompanying individual to social events, community outings, such as grocery shopping and appointments
- Promote communication, choice, independence, and socialization
- Complete daily progress notes
