About The Position

This position at Dial involves assisting residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, meals, hygiene, mobility, and supervision through nurse delegation. Team members will serve and learn from seniors, becoming part of the residents' family and contributing to their happiness and quality of life. The role focuses on providing direct care and support to residents in a senior living environment.

Requirements

  • At least one year experience providing care services for seniors
  • Knowledge of Basic First Aid
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Promote teamwork in providing services to resident.
  • Knowledge of State and Federal Guidelines for Assisted Living
  • Knowledge of HIPAA requirements
  • Knowledge of Safe food handling procedures
  • Knowledge of Nursing standards of practice for older adults
  • Skills in nurturing, organization, and interest in working with older adults

  • Previous experience working in senior living

Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, meals, hygiene, mobility, and supervision through nurse delegation.
  • Provide services to each resident according to the resident service plan.
  • Monitor health, safety and well-being of the residents.
  • Document information pertaining to changes in residents’ functional status, personal needs, appointments, etc.
  • Maintain an accurate record of chargeable services and submit record to supervisor by the designated date each month.
  • Respond to resident emergencies; provide first-aid assistance and arrange for appropriate medical attention and/or follow up.
  • Launder residents’ clothing, linen and towels; fold and return to residents.
  • Assist with minor housekeeping of residents’ apartments.
  • Serve meals and bus tables during mealtimes as applicable.
  • Report on-the-job injuries to the supervisor before the end of the work shift on the day the injury occurs.
  • Encourage socialization among residents and promote activities, assisting with activities as requested.
  • Chaperone activities outside the facility when requested.
  • Maintain a safe, home-like, and pleasant environment for residents.
  • Practice safety in working around and with equipment, chemicals, tools, and utensils.
  • Maintain confidentiality of verbal and written information pertaining to residents, facility operations and personnel.
  • Attend regularly scheduled staff meetings and in-services
  • Perform other duties as assigned
