About The Position

Join CNS as a Caregiver and make a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals with traumatic brain injuries, helping them on their journey towards hope, independence, and a more meaningful life. As a Caregiver/Direct Care team member, you will supervise and directly train patients with brain injuries in Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and therapeutic home programs. The work takes place in a beautiful residential apartment/home-like setting, providing skilled instruction and supervision. Additionally, you will engage patients in social, recreational, shopping, and entertainment activities within community settings. Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED.
• Have a valid Driver's License, with a clean a driving record
• Successful completion of a drug screen, health screen, and criminal record check (fingerprints) for caregiver positions.

Responsibilities

• Teach, monitor, administer and document individual patient programs including ADL's and therapeutic home programs in English.
• Perform bed, bath, toilet, and chair transfers (up to 20 times per shift) using approved transfer techniques.
• Ensure for the safety of patients, visitors, staff, and yourself when interacting with patients who may have behavioral outbursts, which can include yelling, exiting, hitting, kicking, biting, spitting, scratching, and throwing objects.

• $1/hr. shift differential for those regularly scheduled to work the 3pm – 11:30pm shift.
