Reporting to the Career Services Program Coordinator, this position will build processes for College of Fine Arts Career Services, including surveys and reporting, that measure student engagement with career services offerings, COFA’s progress toward knowledge and career outcomes rates, and the percentage of students receiving Life Design interventions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and three years of related experience in institutional research, higher education assessment, surveys & evaluation, statistics, student services, social sciences or a related field.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the arts landscape and the career pathways of arts graduates
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate business process review and improvement.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with individuals with varying skills and from different parts and levels within a complex organization.
  • Proficiency in the MS Office Suite (particularly MS Excel), Tableau, Power BI and Qualtrics.
  • Experience and proficiency with other statistical or data processing software
  • Experience with data visualization software.
  • Demonstrated experience in the following competencies: initiative, decision-making and critical thinking, effective communication, problem solving, service excellence, growth and development mindset, teamwork.

  • Bachelor's degree in social sciences or related field or experience.

Responsibilities

  • Survey Design & Analytics: Lead the collection, analysis, and reporting of qualitative and quantitative data related to student engagement, career development services, internship and job placement outcomes, and employer partnerships. Develop and pilot test surveys and thematic analysis for multiple audiences and constituencies. Analyze data and discern findings on student engagement with career services offerings, the college’s progress toward knowledge and career outcomes rates, and the percentage of students receiving life design interventions. Provide advanced data analysis and reporting to support student program assessment, using tools such as 12Twenty, Qualtrics, and MS Excel for data processing.
  • Reporting & Storytelling: Generate annual departmental reports for the Dean’s Office, summarizing key data metrics, trends, and achievements, while supporting annual reporting cycles and delivering key performance metrics, insights, and trend analyses to senior leadership and other college administrators to inform college-wide priorities. Assists in the planning, development and coordination of publications, websites, presentations, and other reports of data and findings. Lead the development of customized reports and dashboards for the college’s internal stakeholders, leveraging tools like Tableau and Excel, while integrating more complex datasets from external sources.
  • Process Alignment: Collaborate with Career Services staff to establish an iterative process where programming aligns with data collection to ensure all information is captured. Collaborate with institutional research teams and other campus units to ensure alignment with university-wide data standards, facilitating consistent data reporting.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Facilitate stakeholder focus groups to ensure alignment with goals and standards. Liaise with relevant staff, including the Employer and Alumni Engagement Coordinator, the Student Success Coordinator, the Associate Dean of Graduate Education and Academic Affairs, and the Director of Life and Career Integration on pertinent data matters.
  • Subject Matter Contributor: Contribute subject matter expertise to enhance analytical methodologies and practices, recommending new techniques, tools, or approaches to improve data quality, reporting efficiency, and decision-making processes.
  • Presentations: Develop and deliver presentations to effectively communicate analytical findings, insights, and recommendations to senior leadership, ensuring that data-driven decisions are informed by clear, actionable information.
