JOB SUMMARY: Under general supervision, the Adult Education Career Pathways Facilitator uses independent judgment to perform advanced administrative and program coordination functions in support of Integrated Education and Training (IET) initiatives and directly contributes to the college’s educational and workforce development goals. Oversee student support processes, program operations, compliance activities, and cross-departmental coordination, all aimed at helping students transition to postsecondary education and employment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent combination of education and a minimum of ten (10) years of progressively responsible, directly related professional experience demonstrating advanced administrative competence
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in adult education, workforce development, student services, program administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with technology and digital literacy tools
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion in managing programs, resolving issues, and applying policies and procedures
  • Strong understanding of student support systems, retention strategies, and postsecondary transition pathways
  • Ability to analyze information, evaluate outcomes, and make informed decisions that impact program effectiveness
  • Experience coordinating complex administrative processes involving multiple stakeholders and institutional units
  • Experience mentoring staff, leading initiatives, or serving in a coordination or advisory capacity
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, learning management systems (LMS), student information systems, and digital communication tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to represent the college professionally
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends as required.

Responsibilities

  • Independently manage and coordinate comprehensive support strategies for IET students, including monitoring progress toward high school equivalency, English language acquisition, employability skill development, and attainment of industry-recognized credentials.
  • Assess individual student needs and make informed decisions regarding referrals, interventions, and support services to promote retention, completion, and successful transition outcomes.
  • Administer operational aspects of Adult Education and IET programming, including coordination of registration, assessments, scheduling, classroom logistics, and student services across multiple campuses.
  • Exercise discretion in resolving student service issues, operational challenges, and program delivery concerns in accordance with institutional policies and grant requirements.
  • Serve as a key liaison between Adult Education, academic departments, workforce programs, and community partners to implement integrated curricula and aligned career pathways in areas such as business and health sciences.
  • Maintain working knowledge of applicable grants, policies, and regulatory guidelines; assist with data tracking, documentation, reporting, and grant-related administrative deliverables.
  • Coordinate enrollment-related processes and independently manage tuition and class-related payments in compliance with college procedures, program guidelines, and financial controls.
  • Provide guidance, training, and informal leadership to faculty, staff, and partners regarding IET program procedures, student support models, and operational best practices.
  • Provide limited academic or instructional support as a supplemental function when necessary to reinforce student retention and success; this is not the primary duty of the position.
  • Completes other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
