Requirements
- Bachelor's and at least 3 years of experience in the field of developmental disabilities; OR Associate's degree and at least 5 years of experience in the field of developmental disabilities.
- Completion of training in Person-Centered Thinking/Planning (required or attained within the first 90 days of employment).
- ACRE certification with an emphasis in Customized Employment, or APSE CESP credential (required or attained within the first 90 days of employment).
- Strong written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong technology skills, with confidence using Microsoft Office Suite, electronic verification systems, Learning Management Systems, and video editing software.
- Valid Driver's License and proof of automobile insurance.
- Clear criminal background check.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Employment Services and Leadership teams to create and implement all relevant policies, standard operating procedures, and program evaluation methods for CCP.
- Collaborate with Employment Services and Leadership teams to create all resources needed for service delivery, including Person-Centered Career Plan (PCCP) and other service templates, community connection database, etc.
- Support with the vendorization for Customized Employment through the Department of Rehabilitation (DOR).
- Collaborate with the Employment Services and Leadership teams to complete the necessary requirements for BuildAbility to become a certified ACRE (Association of Community Rehabilitation Educators) training provider in customized employment.
- Ensure accurate data collection and timely completion of quarterly and annual progress reports.
- Represent BuildAbility in external meetings and collaborations related to career pathways and employment supports.
- Pilot the CCP program with phased enrollment culminating in at least five fully enrolled participants by the end of the fiscal year (June 2026).
- Develop and maintain Person-Centered Career Plans (PCCPs) with each participant, integrating goals into the IPP where appropriate.
- Provide 1:1 assistance with career exploration, education, benefits planning, and resource navigation.
- Maintain ongoing communication with participants, families, and regional centers, ensuring that services remain aligned with the participant’s goals.
- Monitor progress and review PCCPs monthly; modify plans as needed in collaboration with the team.
- Support participants through transitions, including into post-secondary education, internships, or employment programs.
- Attend annual progress meetings upon request and assist in coordinating interpretation and plain-language materials.
