The Career Navigator, under general supervision, will be responsible for coordinating and monitoring the career-based learning and internship opportunities for the Alamo Bridges participants. Working through the Mays Center, the Career Navigator will also be responsible for implementation of career skill development opportunities, observation of internship students, development of workforce/career field placements, VR and school district liaison, internship instruction/supervision, and post-completion workforce monitoring. The Career Navigator will coordinate with the community partnership projects and work with the existing career and professional services provided by the Mays Center and ensure these services meet the individual needs of the Alamo Bridges participants. The Career Navigator will be responsible for professional development for program participants and serving as the primary point of contact for participants’ career/workforce success. In collaboration with the team, the Career Navigator will assist with identification, recruitment, and re/connection of the Alamo Bridges participants. This position reports directly to the Alamo Bridges Project Coordinator. Position Hours: This position is 100% on-site at our San Antonio campus; remote or hybrid work is not available. This position typically works Monday - Friday; 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. May work beyond normal office hours to include evenings and weekends. This is a grant funded position. This is a grant-funded position that is based on the continuation of the grant (for up to five years)
