Reports to the Counseling Manager. Responsible for providing students with employability and academic training leading to full-time placement through higher education or advanced training. Coordinates and manages the OTP/ACT program ensuring students are actively participating in on- and off-center on-the-job (OJT) training assignments to improve their employability skill set. Serves as the center’s liaison with local business community to build and enhance partnerships and relationships with outside community and the Job Corps Center. The person in this position will follow the established uniform procedure that outlines the entry requirements for students pursuing higher education and advanced training on-or-off center. All ACT students must be in accredited institutions, demonstrating the potential to succeed in such participation. All OTP/AT students must be in DOL-approved occupational/vocational training program on- or off-center.
