About The Position

Goodwill Industries of Mid-Michigan is looking to fill a Part-Time Career Coach position in Saginaw, during the summer. $16.00 an hour plus 20% discount on in-store purchases. Career Advancement Opportunities!! _______________________________________________________ Essential duties and responsibilities: Responsible for caseload assigned of consumers that are job ready and recommended by the Mission Services counselors. Write daily discharge summaries for referral agency/stakeholders for each consumer. Collaborate with supervisors, worksite staff, and participants to ensure positive outcome in Mission Services program services. Teach participants tasks for jobs during assessments. Track progress, maintain consumer contact, and provide transitional support. Coach and promote personal growth for each individual to reach quality standards. Ensure all paperwork is completed per Mission Services procedures. _______________________________________________________ Education and Experience: High school diploma required; Associate’s Degree preferred. At least one year of experience working with people who have disabilities Special training helpful in human relations, job development techniques, behavioral science, marketing and communications. Must have computer skills, including Microsoft Office. _______________________________________________________ Other Qualifications: Dependable, tactful, resourcefulness, initiative, and good judgment. Must have reliable transportation, a valid Michigan driver’s license, a safe driving record and maintain car insurance. Complete MDCH Direct Care Training or equivalent.
