About The Position

This position will coordinate career customer service and employment opportunities in collaboration with partner public agencies and the Career Business Service Unit.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of workforce development.
  • Ability to resolve complex issues within tight timeframes while maintaining procedural integrity.
  • Analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • High level of professionalism and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to communicate in an articulate, professional manner while maintaining a necessary degree of confidentiality.
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and multi-task while maintaining quality standards.
  • Ability to work in culturally and racially diverse populations and in lower socio-economic conditions.
  • Ability to pleasantly and effectively represent the organization.
  • Bachelor's degree Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2 years of related experience.
  • Must provide proof of required vaccinations by federal, state, and local funding sources.
  • Employees driving personal vehicles for El Proyecto business must provide El Proyecto proof of a valid driving license, and auto liability insurance.
  • El Proyecto will reimburse employees for their mileage at the current rate set by the Internal Revenue Service.
  • To receive mileage reimbursement, the employee must log their mileage and submit the mileage expense report to their Appropriate Administrator.

Responsibilities

  • Coach job seekers to ensure appropriate skill-job development and placement services.
  • Review job seekers for job readiness and soft skills.
  • Support planning and attainment of established career and placement goals of the Center and auxiliary projects.
  • Conduct outreach and interface with target occupational sector groups, businesses, and the community.
  • Facilitate customer flow, worksite referral, placement, and engagement of stakeholders and partners.
  • Collaborate with Center specialists to ensure timely delivery of participant program progress, training, placement, staffing, and employer assistance services.
  • Conduct online labor market searches to identify occupational trends.
  • Ensure compliance with contracts, regulatory requirements, and organizational standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
