About The Position

The Career Services Advisor – Business Development is responsible for developing and maintaining employer relationships, securing job opportunities for students and graduates across all programs, and coordinating employer engagement activities on campus. This role is critical to achieving our placement goals and ensuring our students have access to quality career opportunities in their fields. This is not a traditional sales or business development role. There is no commission and no product sales. This role is about relationship-building, strategic engagement, and creating opportunities for students to launch successful careers in the skilled trades. This is not a traditional sales or business development role. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; relevant experience in workforce development, career services, recruitment, or employer relations may be considered in lieu of degree
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet performance targets
  • Proficiency with CRM systems (Campus Vue preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Passion for helping students succeed and connecting them with meaningful career opportunities
  • Comfort with public speaking and facilitating workshops
  • Professional demeanor and ability to represent Lincoln Tech to external employer partners

Responsibilities

  • Develop new employer partnerships across HVAC, Welding, Automotive, Electrical/Electronic Systems Technology, and Medical Assisting industries
  • Conduct proactive outreach to identify hiring needs and secure job opportunities for students and graduates
  • Coordinate employer campus visits and transition relationships to Program Advisors for ongoing placement support
  • Meet weekly performance targets for employer outreach and job order acquisition
  • Schedule and coordinate employer visits for presentations, interviews, and hiring events
  • Support career fair planning and execution for day and evening events
  • Facilitate mock interviews and professional development sessions with employer partners
  • Manage logistics for employer visits including scheduling, room reservations, and technology setup
  • Obtain and enter job orders into Campus Vue with accurate, complete information
  • Distribute job opportunities to Program Advisors for student placement
  • Maintain current job postings and employer records in Campus Vue
  • Conduct professional branding workshops on resumes, LinkedIn profiles, and interview skills
  • Collaborate with Program Advisors to connect unplaced graduates with new employer opportunities
  • Prepare students for employer visits, interviews, and career fairs
  • Maintain accurate employer contact records and engagement activities in Campus Vue
  • Generate weekly reports on employer outreach, job orders, and upcoming campus events
