About The Position

Nashville General Hospital is hiring for a Care-Partner/CNA for Med/Surg as a Full-time Night Care Partner at their Main Hospital on Albion Street. This Care Partner position will be a Certified Nursing Assistant primarily responsible for providing direct care for assigned patients under the supervision of the Registered Nurse. A care partner/CNA receives direction from a licensed nurse to assist patients with needs and tasks. This is a full-time position working 12-hour shifts and includes a weekend requirement. Requirements

  • Certified Nursing Assistant in the State of Tennessee OR Current enrollment in a program of professional nursing RN and successful completion of first semester of nursing school to include nursing fundamentals clinical
  • Employee must have valid BLS upon hire
  • CPI required within 90 days of hire

Responsibilities

  • Taking and recording patient vitals
  • Helping patients with daily tasks, including getting dressed and using the restroom
  • Monitoring patient progress and maintaining health records
  • Fostering strong relationships with patients and making patients feel comfortable
  • Aiding communication between patients and healthcare teams
  • Communicating with the patient's family
  • Helping patients plan for hospital discharge
