About The Position

Rakhma Homes champions dignity in the care of individuals living with memory loss in a small home-like environment. We provide person-centered care and strive to deliver outstanding customer service to families, vendors, residents and potential residents. Rakhma seeks upbeat, kind, positive Care Partners (CPs) to provide loving care to our residents as part of a dynamic team. CPs are unlicensed staff who provide direct care, pass medications, maintain electronic medical records, comply with patient safety practices, and work under the direction of the professional nurse and administrative staff. Care Partners interact with family members of residents, and work as a team with fellow Care Partners, Home managers, and nursing staff. Shift Available: Full Time 32 hours per week Week 1: Monday 6:30am-11:00pm Friday 6:30am-11:00pm Week 2: Monday 6:30am-11:00pm Friday 6:30am-3:00pm Saturday 6:30am-3:00pm Starting Wage: $20.00 per hour You will also be responsible for one On-Call weekend every eight weeks (on an off weekend). This means that you will pick up last minute open shifts from Friday 2:30pm to Monday 7:00am. For being on call, you will receive $100 for the weekend as long as you cover the shifts that become available. You will not have to cover more than 2 shifts in a row unless 1 of them is a sleeper position. It is possible that you could be called in to work on Friday evening, Saturday evening and Sunday overnight. It is also possible that you are not called in at all, in which case, you would still receive the $100 for the weekend. You also are able to pick up any shifts that become available. Job responsibilities: All of our Care Partners are responsible for activities, caregiving, med passing, housekeeping (focused on maintaining cleanliness, organization, and some deep cleaning), cooking, sometimes snow shoveling, and attending/completing required learning. Employees accrue Earned Safe and Sick Time. Employee Job Description: Provide stellar customer service in all aspects of the job. Ability to work complete, scheduled shifts, according to times posted. Document resident needs and status in electronic medical record, to include accidents and injuries. Pass medication and complete online charting (training provided). Assist with resident personal cares and ADLs with attention to individualized service plans. Provide safety and regulatory compliance, including Minnesota’s Vulnerable Adult Laws, Resident Bill of Rights, HIPAA policies, and all policies and procedures. Use personal protective equipment, per policy, at all times. Assist with outings and activities, resident guest visits, and volunteer-led activities. Prepare meals and provide housekeeping services. Occasional overtime available. Medical/dental benefits available after 90 days to FT employees. All employees accrue paid time off.

Requirements

  • EDUCATION LEVEL: High School diploma or Equivalent. Must be 18 years or older.
  • EXPERIENCE: No prior experience or training is required. Care Partner must successfully complete training provided by Rakhma.
  • CPs must successfully complete ongoing trainings, provided by Rakhma.
  • Staff must successfully complete a background check with the Department of Human Services to be eligible for employment.
  • To perform the job successfully, an individual must have reliable transportation and dependable communication methods to ensure punctuality and regular attendance.

Nice To Haves

  • Dementia experience preferred.
  • No certification is required, but HHA or CNA certification is welcome. Training in dementia care is provided.
