HomeWell Cares Services is a rapidly growing home care agency. We are looking for a motivated individual to be our Care Coordinator. The duties of this position include directing/handling phone calls from clients and caregivers with compassion and staffing cases with caregiver skill and client care in mind. The successful candidate will perform various supervisory activities related to scheduling caregivers to clients, intake of service inquiries and other responsibilities as needed. The ideal candidate should have clerical and scheduling experience, preferably in home care scheduling. They should also have their own vehicle, have a positive attitude under pressure and be able to effectively multitask in a high functioning office environment. Ultimately, a successful candidate will assist the overall production of the Operations team. Responsibilities and Duties Provides administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the office, including but not limited to: Schedules the daily activities of caregivers, answers telephone, takes inquiries or messages in an upbeat, professional manner Responds promptly and courteously to all clients’ inquiries via phone calls, texts and emails Handles client and caregiver issues both inside outside of normal business hours Maintain accurate schedules for clients in the Agency’s systems. Ability to relate to clients and care staff in a way that is sensitive to the unique needs of the individual Communicates continually with associates and clients to evaluate service and communicate new assignments / scheduling changes. Maintains accurate documentation for client and caregiver activity in Agency systems Perform intake of service inquiries received with the goal of providing solutions and setting up an in-person assessment for services. Maintains professionalism in all interactions with caregivers and clients Ability to multitask in a high functioning office environment Ability to problem-solve and make decisions in a fast-paced environment Other duties as assigned by Operations leadership Qualifications and Skills High School graduate or equivalent. Required 2+ years of related experience as a caregiver in a home care setting Preferred 1+ year of scheduling experience Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, telephone etiquette, and be able to interact effectively with people from diverse backgrounds with a strong customer service orientation. Experience with Microsoft Office, sound computer skills, and strong organizational abilities. Excellent interpersonal relations abilities. Excellent telephone skills. Knowledge of common medical terminology. Able to work independently, demonstrating sound judgment. Must present a positive and professional business image. Read, write, speak, and understand English as needed for the job. Fluency in a second language is a benefit. Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle with valid insurance Must have an active State of Florida Level 2 Background Check or pass one Be available as required for on-call duty outside of normal office hours.
