Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required.
Prior computer experience required.
Customer service experience required.

Nice To Haves

Strong understanding of insurance coverage (FSC/Coverage/Plan types) and medical necessity guidelines preferred.
Experience with electronic medical records or medical record software preferred.

Responsibilities

Complete and process patient referrals, coordinating between referring and receiving practices or departments.
Prepare and communicate financial estimates for patients as needed.
Secure all required authorizations to ensure timely patient care.
Guide patients toward providers within their insurance network.
Review benefits and educate patients on insurance coverage and financial responsibility.
Schedule surgical procedures, diagnostic testing, and other clinical services with internal and external providers.
Review daily schedules to ensure accuracy, proper time allocation, and efficient workflow.
Follow up on all referrals to prevent care gaps and support seamless patient experiences.
