About The Position

The Coordinating Assistant provides administrative support for the Lead Director of Care Programs and helps manage daily operations for the Care Ministry’s work across the church’s locations. This position also provides support to Resurrection Leawood for worship and care. This position is also a member of the church-wide Administrative Professional team, which provides for the development of administrative professionals across the organization with a focus on skills, cross-training, use of technological tools and cross-divisional collaboration.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • 1-2 years of reception and/or general administrative experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, both over the phone, in writing, and in person.
  • Proven Results in strong organizational, administrative, and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and other basic computer applications.
  • Must be able to lift, push, or pull 35 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support for the Lead Director of Care Programs.
  • Exercise professional discretion while maintaining team calendars and scheduling various group/team meetings and events.
  • Provide administrative support for Congregational Care Minister (CCM) trainings, quarterly trainings, and daily ministry needs.
  • Maintain CCM applications, the CCM Primary spreadsheet, and the church database for CCMs from all Resurrection locations.
  • Ensure CCMs maintain Safe Gathering requirements.
  • Work with the Resurrection Leawood pastoral team to acquire final approvals for Safe Gatherings for congregants.
  • Equip CCMs with the necessary database access and training to ensure proper documentation of care.
  • Provide administrative support for support groups and ministries, including but not limited to Veterans’ Ministry, Pet Ministry, Blood Drive, and Quilting Ministry.
  • Provide direction and decisions on matters related to the Department's office and daily business operations.
  • Maintain databases, registrations, and surveys, as needed.
  • Provide administrative oversight of projects and events such as making room reservations, overseeing and assisting with set up, invitations, catering, taking minutes, and may include purchasing, expense reimbursements, contractual arrangements, and budget planning.
  • Utilize a company credit card and provide monthly reconciliation through Concur for processing.
  • Oversee travel arrangements for supported staff team members, including transportation, lodging, expense reimbursement, and, when needed, speaking contracts and honoraria.
  • Work with the Resurrection Experience Team to ensure marketing supplies and resources are available to the teams as needed. Including ordering, updating, supplying, support group handouts, CCM tent cards, anointing cards, prayer ministry cards, etc.
  • Proofread department material and website, as needed.
  • Recruit and track the CCM Sunday communion volunteer team and notify them of the weekly schedule and any worship changes.
  • Send the weekly worship assignment email to all pastors, CCMs and others involved in worship each Sunday for Resurrection Leawood. Including baptism information and other worship-related scheduling notes.
  • Collaborate with Resurrection Leawood pastoral team to identify candle lighting families for Candlelight Christmas Eve services.
  • Manage and respond to incoming correspondence or calls.
  • Attend recurring supervisory, department and staff meetings, as scheduled.
  • Provide support for office operations and daily business.
  • Provide administrative support, when directed, to assist other parts of the Division and Church.
  • General administrative support, and other duties as assigned.
  • Follow Jesus and engage in the “five essential practices” of the Christian life: worship, study, serve, give, and share.
  • Support the church’s purpose of “building a Christian community where non-religious and nominally religious people become deeply committed Christians.”
