CGI Federal is seeking a Next-Gen Alert Monitoring Analyst to join our Cyber Analysis and Research Engineering (CARE) team on a CDM shared services program. In this role, you’ll help strengthen the security posture of multiple agencies by detecting and mitigating cyber risks. This position is based in one of CGI Federal’s offices in Fairfax, VA or Lafayette, LA. A hybrid work model is available: Day Shift: Onsite three days per week Night Shift: Fully remote

Requirements

Maintain at least two certifications from the following:
Security+ and Network+
Elastic or Splunk Certified Engineer
Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP+)
SANS GIAC Incident Handler (GCIH)
EC-Council Certified Incident Handler (E|CIH)

Responsibilities

Monitor network, endpoint, and application activity through logs and dashboards.
Investigate alerts, analyze suspicious behavior, and correlate data across systems.
Assess incidents for impact, threat mechanisms, and map TTPs.
Escalate critical issues and provide clear remediation steps.
Own response and recovery actions for alerts.
Document alert details and CARE recommendations accurately.
