About The Position
Under the direction of the Department Director and/or medical staff, the Cardiovascular Ultrasound Technologist is responsible for various procedures within the Cardiovascular US Lab, such as Echocardiography, TEE's, Stress testing, vascular testing, etc. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to providing a technologist's impression of the study, proper notification regarding abnormal studies, and accurate billing information.
Requirements
- 1-year previous experience patient care environment is preferred
- General education level (high school). 1 or 2 years post-secondary education program specializing in specializing in sonographic cardiovascular procedures
- Written and verbal communications, interpersonal skills.
- Basic organizational and computer skills.
- Eligible for the ARDMS registry (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography). BLS certification.
- CPI is required within 30 days of hire.
