The Cath Lab Cardiovascular Technologist (CVT) plays a key role in performing and supporting diagnostic and interventional cardiac and peripheral catheterization procedures. Working under the direction of the Cath Lab Director or Charge Technologist, the CVT is responsible for hemodynamic monitoring, assisting with angiography and stent placements, and maintaining strict sterile technique during all procedures. This role ensures safe, high-quality patient care while functioning as a scrub assistant during complex heart and vascular interventions. Requirements
- Associate's degree in Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, or Respiratory Therapy.
- In lieu of the educational requirements, a minimum of five (5) years' experience and:
- Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Certification (required within 12 months of hire) OR
- Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) Certification (required within 12 months of hire).
- FL Certified Radiologic Technologist license with valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification (preferred) OR
- FL Registered Respiratory Therapist license with valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification (preferred).
- Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Certification OR Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) Certification (required within 12 months of hire if no degree in the applicable fields).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification.
Nice To Haves
- FL Certified Radiologic Technologist license with valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification (preferred)
- FL Registered Respiratory Therapist license with valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification (preferred).
