About The Position

A leading Central Florida surgical team is hiring an experienced Cardiovascular Operating Room Registered Nurse (CVOR RN) to support an expanding heart and vascular program in the Orlando metro area . This position provides exposure to open-heart, thoracic, and hybrid vascular procedures , as well as opportunities to circulate in general operating room cases. You will work in a state-of-the-art surgical suite designed for collaboration, precision, and innovation, surrounded by a multidisciplinary team committed to quality and patient-centered care.

Requirements

• Current RN license (Florida or Compact State; Florida endorsement required within 60 days of relocation)
• Minimum 2 years of recent CVOR experience in an acute care hospital
• Associate Degree or Diploma in Nursing (BSN preferred)
• BLS certification (within 30 days of hire)
• ACLS certification (within 6 months of hire)

Nice To Haves

• CNOR or cardiovascular specialty certification
• Experience with hybrid OR or structural heart procedures

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive perioperative care for adult cardiac and vascular surgery patients.
• Circulate and scrub in for open-heart, vascular, and thoracic procedures.
• Ensure the OR environment is properly prepared with instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia teams, and perfusionists to deliver safe, efficient procedures.
• Monitor and document patient status throughout surgery, intervening as necessary.
• Participate in call rotation and respond to call-ins within 30 minutes.
• Educate patients and families on preoperative preparation and postoperative recovery.
