Cardiovascular Invasive Technologist II (Dedicated Call for Cath Lab)
About The Position
The Cardiovascular Invasive Technologist III-Dedicated Call is specifically responsible for coverage of on-call procedures during weekday and/or weekend hours, which may include holidays, within their designated department. Assists the physician with the performance of invasive and diagnostic/interventional cardiac, vascular, neuro and electrophysiology procedures, by monitoring, passing instruments and catheters, observing patient response to procedure, maintaining sterile field, and interpreting and evaluating diagnostic data to be utilized by the physician. Position requires the operation of equipment that produces ionizing radiation. Due to the nature of the role, practices autonomously and with minimal supervision. Position Specifics: • Department: Cath Lab • Core function: Imaging • Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week, Evening shift • Facility: St. Elizabeth's Hospital • Location: O’Fallon, IL • Compensation aligned with experience + shift differentials on top of base rate!
Requirements
- Associates degree in radiologic technology, allied health, applied science or completion of certificate/training program is required.
- 4 years of experience working in a cath lab radiologic technologist role is required.
- Licensed Radiographer in the state of practice is required.
- Certification as a Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography (RT(R)) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is required or obtained within 6 months of hire.
Nice To Haves
- Advanced certification is preferred: Cardiac Interventional Radiography (CI) certification from ARRT or certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
